When Prostitutes Anonymous was first formed, it was literally the first time  ever men and women from all over the world, from all types of adult work, got together to talk about the exit process and to tell their story.  At the time, we had created a "mentor board" of people who also had created 12-step programs to advise us how to get this program off the ground.  A couple of those people were  the men who had organized the publishing of the first Basic Text for Narcotics Anonymous.  They believed the group should be the author of their book so they had developed a way to get group input to write the very first edition.  We duplicated this process and in 1991, once Jody had a baby and therefore had time between naps to put the book together, the first "red book" or the Recovery Guide for Prostitutes Anonymous was written, printed and distributed.  Over the years, Jody's mother used to talk to other mothers and loved ones who would be worried about someone.  When she died, there was no one to replace her so Jody took the things she used to say to all of these concerned family members and she published some related booklets.  These books are currently in ebook, Kindle and print format.  We are also working on making translations available.  Go to the blog to see all suggestions or https://www.lulu.com/spotlight/sexworkersanonymous
